Communication
WIFI.OS talks to your customers for you — the routine notices that keep them informed, plus the messages and campaigns you send yourself. It’s all in the Communication section: Messages, Emails and Campaigns.
Automatic notices
Much of your customer communication should just happen. WIFI.OS sends the routine notices — a payment received, a plan about to expire, an account suspended — so customers stay informed without you lifting a finger. You control the wording from message templates in Settings, using placeholders like the customer’s name and plan so each message is personal.
Messages (SMS)
Send an SMS to a customer or a group from the Messages screen. SMS is how you reach most Kenyan customers reliably — a payment reminder, a maintenance notice, a “you’re back online.” Sent messages are tracked so you can see what went out and whether it delivered.
Emails
For customers with email, the Emails screen sends longer or formal messages — statements, notices, welcome details. Email proves and reaches the address; SMS is for the quick, certain nudge.
Campaigns
Campaigns are bulk sends to a chosen audience — everyone on a plan, everyone in arrears, everyone in an area. Use them for price changes, new plans, or a coverage announcement. Each campaign tracks how many were sent and how many failed, so you know it actually reached people.
Message templates
From Settings → Message templates, edit the wording of every automatic notice once, and every future message uses it. Set them up to sound like your business, in the language your customers use.
Costs and control
Messaging uses your configured SMS and email providers (set in Settings). Sends are bounded so a mistake or a runaway can’t blast your whole base by accident.
