Settings

Settings is where you configure how your ISP runs. Each panel is safe to leave on its defaults — you only change what you need. Here’s every panel and what it’s for.

Profile

Your own name, contact details and preferences for your account.

Branding

Your name, logo and colours on the captive portal and everywhere your customers see you.

Domain

Your subdomain (your-name.wifios.co.ke) — the address your console and portal live at. Point your own domain here when you’re ready.

Payments

Connect M-Pesa — STK Push and Paybill (C2B) — so customers can pay and the money reconciles against the right account automatically. This is also where your settlement details live (see Wallet & payouts).

Communications (SMS)

Choose and connect your SMS provider so messages and automatic notices actually send. See Communication for what gets sent.

Email

Connect email for statements, notices and welcome messages. Email proves and reaches the address; SMS is the quick, certain nudge.

Hotspot & portal

Design the captive portal your customers buy on — pick from portal templates, set the look, and control the tap-to-approve device sharing, TV slots and shared-user budgets. See Hotspot billing.

PPPoE lifecycle

How your broadband book behaves:

  • Churn — cancel accounts suspended beyond a threshold (see Churn & retention).
  • Inactive prune — tidy away long-disabled accounts (off by default).
  • Reminders — SMS subscribers before their renewal falls due.
  • Invoicing — auto-issue monthly invoices and set your invoice number prefix.

Loyalty

Reward regular customers — customers earn as they pay, building repeat business. Turn it on and set how earning works.

Message templates

Edit the wording of every automatic notice — welcome, renewal reminder, payment received, suspension — once, using placeholders like the customer’s name and plan, so every future message sounds like you.

Alerts

Choose which events you want to be told about, so the things that matter reach you without you watching the screen.

Security

  • Change your password.
  • Two-factor authentication — an authenticator app, required to move money. See Security & sign-in.

Developer

API tokens and integration tools for building on top of WIFI.OS — see Developer & API.

AI Assistant

The built-in assistant that helps you find things and answer questions about your console.
