Getting started
WIFI.OS gives every ISP its own console at your-name.wifios.co.ke. Everything you do — plans, customers, payments, routers — lives under your own subdomain and is visible only to you.
Signing in
- Go to your console address, e.g.
homelink.wifios.co.ke. - Enter your phone number and password.
- You land on the Dashboard.
There’s no separate app to install and nothing is stored in your browser — the session lives in a secure cookie, so signing in on a new device just works.
Your first day, in order
Setting up a new ISP usually goes like this:
- Add a router — Settings → Routers. This is the MikroTik (or other gateway) at your site. WIFI.OS talks to it over a secure tunnel.
- Turn on payments — verify your M-Pesa settlement details so money can reach you. Until you do, the console shows a banner explaining exactly what’s left. See Billing & payments.
- Create plans — the packages you sell (a 3-hour hotspot bundle, a Monthly 8 Mbps line). See Plans.
- Start selling — issue vouchers, point customers at your captive portal, or add broadband clients.
Finding your way around
The left sidebar is grouped by what you’re doing:
- Dashboard — the health of the business at a glance.
- Hotspot — prepaid Wi-Fi: plans, vouchers, the portal.
- PPPoE — broadband lines: clients, invoices, plans.
- Active Users — everyone online right now.
- Payments / Wallet — money in, money owed to you, payouts.
- Settings — routers, messaging, billing, developer tools, security.
Badges on the sidebar show live counts (people online, open tickets, vouchers in stock) so you can see where attention is needed without opening each page.
